General Music: Unit of study- Rhythm and Movement This semester students will learn reading, writing and creating rhythms. Students will be able to demonstrate rhythms using body percussion as well as making and using other music mediums. This energetic unit will leave wanting more! When: Every other Wednesday starting 9/18/13, ending 12/18 Where: Port St Lucie (house) Time: Grades 2-6 9am-10am, Grades 7-12 10:15am-11:15am Tuition: $10/class 2. Theater: Unit of Study- Introduction to Musical Theater!!! During this 2 semester course students will learn the basics of projection, singing, acting, stagecraft, costume and makeup, dancing and dealing with those butterflies! Students will work towards putting together a Variety Show which they will perform at the end of the year. This will include solos, duets, group numbers, skits, MCs, and more! Variety show theme to be announced! When: Saturdays starting 9/21/13 Where: Port St Lucie Time: Grades 2-6 (7-12 to be determined based on interest) 9-10:30 Tuition: $14/class 3. Choir! Students will learn singing alone and in a group. Students will learn a variety of genres (classical and contemporary) as well as performance etiquette and choral performance styles. Students will work towards a concert at the end of each semester! When: Saturdays starting 9/21/13 Where: Port St Lucie Time: Grades 2-12 10:45-12:15 Tuition: $12/class 4. Private Instruction: Students will learn instruction on individual instruments and voice. Lessons are tailored to each individual student, meeting them where they are according to their learning style! Email or call for details on availability and further information. Tuition: $30/45 min per week Registration and tuition details: Registration for classes and private instruction is $25. This fee is a one-time fee per course. There is a 10% discount if a student takes two classes from the Arts program. If a student signs up for all three classes they will receive a 15% discount. Students who sign up for all three classes plus private instruction will receive 15% off their class tuition plus 1 free hour of private instruction per month.
