Surprised by how many of my friends still havent heard about this. Your passwords at many major websites need to be changed. I spent a couple hours yesterday changing mine. Twitter, eBay, LinkedIn, Amazon, Paypal, and several others were not vulnerable. But if you use Google (or YouTube, because Google owns that), Yahoo! (or Tumblr, because Yahoo! owns that), Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit, Yelp, Etsy, Flickr, Vimeo, Blogger, Dropbox, OKCupid, GoDaddy, or Netflix--change your password. And change it on Facebook, too, because this site was vulnerable as well. // Heartbleed is a security vulnerability in OpenSSL software that lets a hacker access the memory of data servers. According to Netcraft, an Internet research firm, 500,000 Web sites could be affected. That means a users sensitive personal data -- including usernames, passwords, and credit card information -- is potentially at risk of being intercepted.// Theres no reason to *panic* because most places have gotten on top of it right away, but passwords need to be changed just to be on the safe side--but you have to make sure the site has been patched first. In the comments theres a link to a chart listing the top 100 websites and where they stand with Heartbleed security.
