Ecclesiastes 9:1-2 NLT [1] This, too, I carefully explored: Even though the actions of godly and wise people are in Gods hands, no one knows whether God will show them favor. [2] The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who make promises to God are treated like people who dont. We hear a lot about Gods Favor, today. I believe in His favor for believers, but I also believe that He cares for the lost. If that were not true, most of us wouldnt be reading this. You and I are still breathing, thats Gods favor. You and I receive the necessary daily blessings to survive, that is Gods favor. Most of us have a job, a home, food to eat, a bed to sleep, a friend, but what about those who do not ? Does that mean those who suffer neglect, the not-haves of society, the scourged, the homeless, the grief stricken, the hungry, the abused, are they not also within or under Gods favor ? You see, we tend to think of Gods favor being ONLY the blessings, the good things, the positive spin of things. We fail, and often neglect the understanding that where humanity is, there God abides also. No matter how good or bad, how blessed or neglected we feel, God abides in our world. His presence covers our experience, not the other way around. His favor falls on all humanity, good or bad, saved or otherwise. It knows no bounds to our understanding, it transcends all we are and ever hope to be. Gods favor, CAN NOT BE MEASURED IN OUR LUXURY OR LACK OF !! God blesses those who are righteous, but he does not forget those who are not. WHY? John 3:16-17 NLT [16] For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [17] God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. So when we talk about Gods favor, lets understand that ALL humanity is in His plan. Gods MANTLE of favor DOES REST ON THOSE WHO ARE OBEDIENT, however lets remember, He desires ALL mankind to be in his presence. The choice, its up to you ! How you love, how you treat another, IS A DIRECT RESULT OF GODS FAVOR IN YOUR LIFE. Blessings......
