Hey Folks... PUPDATE!!! Some of you may remember a couple years ago I drove 22 hours straight to El Paso to get Miss Foxy out of a horrible situation. I had pulled her from the Irving shelter several months prior for a rescue in New Mexico and fostered her while they figured out transport. She was the happiest dog I had ever met when I first got her. I got her to a healthy weight, as she was rather underweight, before she left for NM and when I looked into her eyes again that day in El Paso I will never forget the pain of heartbreak that bolted through me like electricity. She was severely overweight and terrified of everything around her. She spent a few hours at my house as we made it there in the early morning hours. Then I met Michelle Cook (for the first time ever, so very thankful for that) and she drove Foxy out to a friend of Genias, who then transported Foxy to Genia Lynn Capps in Longview. Genia rehabilitated Foxy to the point of finally being adoptable. Almost two years later, here she is, the light of her mommys life. She is spoiled rotten, but HEALTHY. Katy Whittingham also donated to our efforts to get her back from that terrible rescue. Whom the only good thing I can and will say about them is that they contacted me when they could no longer keep her, because they were moving. I can never thank the people who assisted in getting her back to the dog she was when I first got her from that shelter. They restored her faith in humans and the world in general. They selflessly put their time and effort into her rehabilitation process and the light shines in those beautiful eyes once again. They revived that amazing smile that I will never forget. Heres to you Foxy, the folks who rescued you and were rescued by you, and your amazing mommy! I will never forget you you gorgeous monkey!
