Hey Folks! Will you pray for me? Im unstable in terms of my religious life currently and wish very much to have that reversed. I was baptized in an Orthodox parish in 2010; and for several years now have been de facto Catholic; having had a crisis of faith and thinking that was for the best. Im now starting to seriously question that, but as someone who believes in the validity of both Churchs sacraments am in a tough spot: as going back to Orthodoxy would require me probably to re-confess all the sins I have confessed to Catholic priests, and confess to apostasy, which I also am not certain of; though that may just be an issue of semantics (as I would be willing to confess, for instance, that I made a mistake by leaving and joining to Rome sacramentally). This has been a long journey, and Im very aware of the issues and perspectives on both sides; ultimately, even with all the sympathy for papal primacy as I have come to have, I cannot help but yearn for the deeper liturgy of Orthodoxy, and it makes me want to just acknowledge the authority of the Orthodox Church and return; though certainly with more of a respect for Catholicism now that I understand it as someone who tried to be an insider for some time. Thank you for your prayers! Any words of advice to help with discernment are welcome, especially from clergy.
