Pittsburgh is a dope city. I hate all the cool people who feel they need to hate on Pittsburgh. Is it San Diego or Miami or NYC, no it isnt but guess what those cities cost 2x-4x more to live a comparable lifestyle in and wages in those cities are not 2x-4x more than in Pittsburgh for comparable jobs. Were among the top 25 largest metro areas in the country. Over half the states in the U.S. dont have a city as big as Pittsburgh. We arent as small as we think. So is Pittsburgh perfect, no. If we compare ourselves to the top 10 cities in the U.S. may we seem slightly behind the hottest trends, yes. But we have great sports teams, restaurants + hospitals, we have innovative businesses + lots of entrepreneurs, a respectable nightlife scene & some of the best DJs in the U.S. I kid you not. We also have a lot of forward thinking entrepreneurs who open spots like tapas restaurants that close in two years, dont complain about out city then not support the forward thinking venues that our here. Bottom line it may not be the best city in the world but Pittsburgh is a much doper city than most Pittsburghers think it is, appreciate your city, you dont truly understand how good you have it.
