Hey Friends, Jered David has had a pretty exciting couple of days. He moved into a new room yesterday, and it even has a window. :) Hes moving on up! The experience was a bit difficult for him, his blood oxygen levels were up and down last night. He got better as the night went on, thank The Lord. So, his primary doctor, Dr. Truong, still proceeded today with attempting to remove Jereds breathing tube (in his throat) for the 2nd time, and transitioning him to a nasal cannula. They tried last Friday, and Jered wasnt doing well after a couple hours, so, they had to put the tube back in. So this week, Jered made enough progress that Dr. T wanted to give him another chance today. They took the tube out about 6 hours ago, he is trying so hard, his levels keep going up and down, but he is fighting like a champ. Please keep praying tonight! Jered is still getting assistance from the machine, but its going into his nostrils only, so, they have been adjusting his assistance levels to see what he can handle. Please pray that The Lord would give perfect wisdom tonight to Dr. Truong, Jereds nurse, and Jereds respiratory therapist. Jereds feeding of milk continues to increase, he is up to 7.5 ml/hour, and he is handling it well, praise God. He will probably peak at 8 ml, according to his weight. Its really a miracle that he is handling the milk so well, thank Jesus. Because he is handling all the milk, he doesnt need IV nutrition anymore. He is getting the best nutrition and immunity from his Mommy. :) Thank you so much for your prayers and love. Our God is in control, He is Jereds Master Doctor, his Master Nurse, his Master Respiratory Therapist... and He is Jereds Heavenly Daddy, holding him and forming him. We love you guys.
