Hey Guys, Its been brought to our attention by the good folk at the Society of St Vincent De Paul that people may assume that St Vincent De Paws and The Society of St Vincent De Paul are linked, that is not the case - the two are entirely separate entities with no connection whatsoever. The society of St Vincent De Paul do amazing work throughout Ireland to alleviate the effects that poverty has on individuals and their families and their mission seeks to eliminate the causes of poverty. We are extremely flattered that people would associate St Vincent De Paws with the ethos of The Society of St Vincent De Paul and we do hope that one day St Vincent De Paws will do for the ownerless animals of Ireland what St Vincent De Paul do for the poverty stricken people of Ireland. To clarify St Vincent De Paws is fully run by volunteers with the sole aim to help the ownerless animals of Cork, & hopefully further afield in the near future. We collect dog/cat food, treats, toys, dog/cat accessories, old towels & blankets and cleaning items. All these items are given directly to dogs & cats in need mostly through rescue centres in Cork so they can concentrate on the important things - the animals In their care and not have to worry about where the next lot of food, blankets, etc. will come from. We do not collect monetary donations and we do not plan to do so in the foreseeable future. Some of our benefactors to date include: West Cork Animal Welfare Group Animal Care Society CSPCA Paulines Rescue The Community Cats Network Animal Rescue Cobh Cork Dog Action Welfare Group We are extremely proud of the work we have done to date which relies solely on our amazing volunteers & the generosity of all you guys reading this. We have no connection to The Society of St Vincent De Paul but we can only aspire to translate the great work they do with the people of Ireland onto the ownerless animals of Ireland. Yours Truly St Vincent De Paws
