Hey, I could really use some help here. I got a kit from eBay some time ago, which, unfortunately, sat waiting for me to get enough time to assemble it. Its a prusa i3 one. The marlin firmware has supposedly been flashed with the right configuration. I assembled it during the last two weekends and things seemed to go smoothly. Now I installed pronterface on my Linux Mint laptop and successfully connected to the printer. Problem is, somethings not working right. I can see the temperatures of the hotend and heated bed thermistors. They are about ambient and heating up the elements with my hand shows a reaction in the temperature graph. Theres just another ex1 down at the 0°C mark, which throws a MINTEMP error, thus leaving me (I suppose thats the reason) completely unresponsive pronterface. The only thing that produces a reaction are the home buttons. The x axis moves a bit towards me, the y axis goes towards the middle and the z axis motors just hum. Switching either the heated bed thermistor or the extruder one with the remaining T2 pins drops the affected part down to 0, too, while the ominous ex1 stays at 0, too. There doesnt seem to be any excess heat production anywhere. I havent tried putting the firmware on again, yet, as its getting too late. But am I safe to assume its just a misconfiguration? Or could me description mean even more grave problems?
