Hey, I’m Future Sailor Schlega from spec war. Some of us are trying to get a group together to go up to my property on Lake Huron to do some additional training for a weekend. It doesn’t matter if you have a contract or not, it’s just going to be a good learning experience with good people. I need to know who’s interested and what dates work to set up a plan so let me know what works best for you. Right now, we’d be going one of the weekends in August (this is subject to change), probably leaving friday evening and returning sometime sunday. We’d be camping out in tents on the lawn (It’s about a quarter-mile stretch of grass from the cabin down to the sand). I have a tent, I could probably borrow one from a buddy or maybe other guys can bring a couple. The water is about as cold as Coronado, and running in sand will be good prep for whatever you’re going into. Mr. Krause may also be interested in providing PT, land navigation instruction (day/night), and open-water swimming training, etc. It’d be cool if people could bring a tent, or food (package of hotdogs/hamburgers, that kind of stuff), or whatever, just something to pitch in a bit. The weekends I’m considering right now are: Friday, Aug 15 - Sunday, Aug 17 Friday, Aug 22 - Sunday, Aug 24 Friday, Aug 29 - Sunday, Aug 31 (Although this is labor day weekend) Friday, Sep 05 - Sunday, Sep 07 If you can’t do these, let me know what you can.
