Hey Monkey Fans! Well this upcoming Monday June 2nd The Wooden Monkey celebrates 10 years in business, quite an accomplishment we think, and we are having a party to celebrate! We have such an amazing clientele and the support we have received over the years has been very humbling. The connection many of you have with our restaurant goes well beyond the food we serve. We care so much about what we are putting on our plates and feel the restaurant has been a wonderful forum for us to speak out about issues we feel are important. You are what you eat is a very cliche term, however we are firm beleivers of this at the Monkey. The health of our families and loved ones is paramount. To be healthy your body needs nutritious food, and to grow nutritious food you need to have clean water and healthy soil. As most of you are aware we have been very vocal with our stance on climate change and environmental issues and hope to continue creating awareness for another 10 years and beyond! You cant seperate food from the environment, thats why we are so passionate about bringing awareness to this topic that affects us all! So come on down to our Halifax location this Monday, we would love to show all of you how appreciative we are for your support! Each table that comes in, from open until close, will draw for a prize (Monkey swag, gift certificates, free meals!). We will have live music upstairs from 6-9pm and good times guaranteed to be had by all! Thanks again to anyone who has eaten a meal over the years, recommended us with positive word of mouth, and most importantly thanks to all our wonderful staff members, past and present. Without your hard work we wouldnt be where we are today.
