Hey Nick Scott-Samuel and - maybe some of your psychology friends. Ive been thinking recently about feedback - its a big thing in Agile - we generally think that its a good thing. But then I realised that some kinds of feeback are utterly paralysing. For example - when you try to speak into a microphone and youve got earphones on that send an echo of what youre saying - that can completely stop you. Yes, I know I could Google it, but I am very lazy. Is there a name for this kind of feeback? And is there any general way of characterising why some kinds of feeback are destructive rather than constructive? mumbly.co.uk/newblog/Destructive%20Feedback.htm
