Hey Race Stars! last night saw an action packed race as 10 drivers tested the mettle against the challenging Melbourne circuit. Steve-Alex Michleson from The Sweet racing qualified on pole and raced to an early lead, before his under pressure tires let go and he put his car on its roof coming out of the tricky Ascari corner. Colonel Catastrophy got a nudge which out him into the wall a short time later at the same corner, which left Alex Hawke from The Shaft in front. Many drivers pitted to get fresh rubber, and the order going into lap 2 was Alex Hawke-The Shaft Dirk Diggler You Go Go Danzer-Spoiler Alert Dick Dastardley-The NUTS and bolts Buddy Bronson Gisseppe Reversie-Valiant Dealer Team Gonzales Grudfunk-Cocaine Dealer Team Penelope Pittstop A fast 2nd lap went through, with Dirk Diggler catching Alex rapidly, at the expense of his tyres, which spun him coming out of the sweeping back straight. He spun again coming out of Ascari, and was losing places rapidly. Gonzales gearbox was suffering at the hands of the Columbians heavy right foot also, and You Go Gos tyres and brakes where on their last legs Once again, a variety of runners pitted, notably Dirk Diggler stayed out with no tired or brakes. This was to prove fatal for him as he lost control and smashed coming out of Whiteford corner. Coming out of the final corner the top 6 looked like this
