Hey SF and Fresno friends! As the weather gets colder and we start to bundle up, we must keep in mind the many of those who do not get that luxury. Every year, a fellow bombshell in the sciences (and my former AP Bio teacher, Kristi Montevecchi Whittaker), hosts a Blanket Drive in benefit of the women and children at the Marjorie Mason Center. We ask for new or gently used throw blankets; nothing too large. I find this project particularly touching in that it was created out of the innocent desire of one child wanting to provide a quintessentially basic comfort another. One year, Kristis daughter Isabella primarily asked Santa for blankets to give to children who do not have one of their own. And since then, it has become a yearly tradition. I will consider any and all contributions a personal favor. You can text or private message me and I will gladly pick them up at your home or place of work.
