Hey Team Im moving to southland around 15th November and am looking for work in any decent agricultural operation that needs a keen young man. Im a 20 year old Shepherd General from Taranaki. My current job involves primarily driving modern John Deere equipment carrying out all day to day tractor needs on an 800 acre Landcorp farm running 4500 heifers (feeding bulk silage, hay and baelage all using alot of loader work) I also assist in all day to day stockwork needs including yardwork, break fencing and feed budgeting working in conjunction with my manager and head shepherd. I have sound workshop skills, including welding and basic fabrication, and can diagnose most machine faults. Id like to think Im a competent and forgiving operator learnt through two previous years experience driving for a local contractor carrying out all aspects of cultivation and grass harvest using modern John Deere and Claas gear. I am used to working long hours when required and like to do a good job, enjoying the satisfaction of a job well done and a happy customer. I fence to a very high standard and take pride in all the farm maintenance work I do. Previously I have run a small team of dogs juniour shepherding on a large hill country station. I have assisted in 2 dairy conversions including the installation of reticulated water systems. I can drive most things that start with a key haha I personally hold : NZ class 1,2 licences :Atv licence : NCEA level 1, 2 and 3 : A National Certificate in Agriculture Level 2 and part of 3 :Chainsaw tickets : A can do attitude and a great sense of humor My key transferable attributes are the ability to follow instructions but also take the lead in situations where the responsibility is shared. The ability to share and contribute ideas in problem solving scenarios and encourage others to share their ideas. Great communication skills and I pride myself in being able to hold a decent engaged conversation with clients and guests of the farm/company to engage them positively in the operation. Im well presented and know the importance of having a tidy, efficient looking team to maintain a companies reputation. A GREAT attitude generally, I am proud to be employed by anyone and represent them in the best way possible whether at the pub, in the field or just among mates. Im physically fit, dont smoke or drink excessively, have no baggage including wife or children and have no criminal convictions. If any of this sounds useful to your operation I look forward to your reply. Cheers and thanks for taking the time to read this. Tyler 0273429650
