Check out this message from our adviser from UWM, Jackie Nguyen, about a conference planning committee opportunity: Dear students, A committee of Milwaukee community members, faculty, school staff, and students are planning a day-long conference to celebrate 40 years of Southeast Asian (Cambodian, Hmong, Lao, and Vietnamese) refugee lives in the Milwaukee area. We would like to invite student leaders to join our planning committee and attend the next meeting on November 13, 12:30-2 pm, on UWM campus (room TBD). This event will be quite large and involve many members of the SEA community in addition to stakeholders; invited will be the Mayor and other dignitaries.
