Hey all!! As you may or may not know - well be holding commitee elections for the academic year 2014/2015 next Tuesday (18th march). If you want to run for a position please send me a message and let me know unless youve already written your name on my little list. Below are descriptions of the six positions up for grabs - have a read through and see if youre interested. Being a member of the committee is a great experience and a chance to bring some of your ideas to the running of the society. Also be aware that none of the roles are easy - they are all time demanding so if you run be prepared to give your all. For the elections you will be expected to write a speech of no more than a couple of minutes explaining why you think youd be good for the role - discussing any experience you might have or skills that would be suitable. You are not allowed to mention any other member in any derogatory or insulting way. Just talk about why youd be good for the job not why you think others might not be. At this session all paid members will be given a voting sheet on which they will put down one name for each position - at the end of the session the votes will be counted and announced.
