Hey all, I hope this finds you well! I wanted to take a moment and share my most recent film project with you. Its an independent feature called These Hopeless Savages, shot across the country in 7 days. The backstory: This past summer myself and 3 others formed a small production company called Working Group Pictures. In July, I rented the bare essentials as far as production equipment was concerned, we packed ourselves and the gear into a devoted little Ford Focus, and we hit the road from Iowa City, IA to Brooklyn, NY. Once we arrived, we began to shoot. A 70-page screenplay, with the goal of completing it in one week as we drove back to Iowa City from Brooklyn. We stopped in various cities along the way, working with actors we knew from across the country. It was easily the rawest, quickest, and by far, most guerrilla style approach to filmmaking Ive had the opportunity to experience yet. So now, were excited to share our first official trailer. And to announce the beginning of a hopeful run of screening at festivals, starting with the Mission Creek Festival in Iowa City on Thursday, April 3rd. We will screen at FilmScene at 6:30pm.
