Hey all...so I have been doing some work drumming up volunteer opportunities for us. Would anyone be interested in these kinds of activities - Put together education materials, give presentations to school groups, FFAs, non-profits, hobby groups, homeowner associations. Attend conferences and be able to stand at a booth and provide excellent customer service. This position would be volunteer, and hours would vary based on the coordinators involvement of activities. We could each take hours here or there doing these things - not one person for the whole job. What do you think? This would be helping out the Johnson County Soil and Water Conservation District. I have been contacting people and should have some more possibilities soon. I did want to know - does anyone favor beautification work, or administrative work? I am trying to get more opps where we could help out with legal or civic concerns that the groups deal with. Also, there is a need for someone who could write a grant - I have no experience with that, but I am sure there are students and maybe profs who know and may be willing to help. Anyway, anyone please let me know if you have any preferences or suggestions for volunteering concerns!
