Hey any enterprising engineers out there. I have an idea for creating a single solid ferrous metal hull or fuselage with no joints or rivets, presumably of almost any shape you would want with perfect crystal structure and no welds or joints or breaks in the metal structure. Basically what I was thinking about was if you could somehow manage with spun copper coils to shape a live magnetic field with a strong current passed through a whole bunch of copper wire spun into whatever shape you could come up with, you could suspend liquid metal in mid air into whatever shape you want or could manage to create with these focused magnetic fields. Then you could control the way the metal crystalizes by letting it cool down at a controlled rate into its solid form. Having perfectly aligned metal crystals with anything else you wanted to mix in to the metal affords some other interesting advantages as well. With perfectly formed metal crystals you could also get these metal objects to resonate vibrationally either by bombarding them electromagnetically or acoustically you could get these structure to vibrate like tuning forks perfectly as the crystal lattice structure wouldnt have any flaws in it. Once we can get structures to vibrate evenly and uniformly then you could start moving them from one place and time to another without them really going anywhere. Any interesting feedback please chime in!
