Hey correct people- Ive been getting so many requests/questions/assumptions etc. regarding VACZINE that I wanted to take a second and clarify things so theres no misinformation spreading around. I did not reach my fund raising goal on Indie-Go-Go so that I could actually print a large quantity of issues, which is why VACZINE is ONLY available for now as a print on demand publication through blurb. It also seems that there is a misconception that I am making a profit from each sale. In a perfect world that would be the case, but the reality is that what started out as a magazine became a monolith of 170 pages and in order to keep the prices for hard & soft cover versions where they are, we only clear a couple of $ on each copy sold. Also, all the ads in VACZINE were given out for free because like the artists we are showcasing, I also wanted to provide a forum for up & coming struggling designers, galleries and shops that never have the opportunity to advertise because of the cost. In my 30 years as an indie publisher with 4 publications under my belt, its safe to say Ive never been in this to get rich and I certainly havent. Like my own art career, it is out of love and a desire to showcase new ideas and alternative ways of expressing them. So yes, for now VACZINE is expensive and Im sorry that I cant just mail out a free copy to each person that asks. Sadly that includes my contributors. I am however trying to find an investor willing to put up the needed funds to mass produce VACZINE at a more affordable cost and hopefully will be able to do that within the next year. Hope that clears things up and thanks to everyone for all the love, support, comments & kudos that have continued to come my way. Without all of you I wouldnt of been able to make it this far and hopefully if it is meant to be I will find a way to make VACZINE more readily available for all those who seek it.
