Hey dear Leveluppers! It will be some sort of a little rant as well as an ask for advice. Ive always wanted to be an artist, but hadnt had it precised then what exactly I wanted to do in life. Now I know, that I want to paint beautiful and epic illustrations, make designs for games and film, and play with 3D models. But here dream ends and reality enters. I just see all those amazing progress pictures you post here, all those beautiful artworks, and you never cease to amaze me with your skills. But its a double-edged thing for me. On one hand Im amazed, and believe I might progress as well, but on the other hand, I easily get discouraged, telling myself I wont ever be as good as pros, and Im gonna end up doing some mundane job for the rest of my life. I know some basics, Ive been drawing since I remember. I even attend an art university (but they dont teach me things I want to know :C). But still, it feels like I know completely nothing about the craft I love so much. Also the amount of knowledge I have to absorb to become a better artist, intimidates me a lot. Im completely lost, and have no clue where I should start to accomplish the best results. I have 3 years before I graduate the uni, after that I want to have my portfolio completed, and on a pro level, to find the job Ive always dreamed about.
