Hey everybody, As we move out of the winter, there’ll be more sun, more fun, and most importantly Spring CSA! If you’re not familiar with CSA, it’s basically a way for modern farmers to do what they do. You pay the farm before the season begins, giving them the startup cash they need to grow. Every week you receive a box filled with a harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables. The farm we work with is called Heavens Harvest, and it’s totally organic! There are 3 box sizes, ranging from $30 to $50 (that’s a whole bunch of produce) per week, and you can even add organic eggs to your delivery for only a few extra dollars. Not only is CSA cheaper than buying “organic” produce from the grocery stores, but you also get the satisfaction of helping a farm stay afloat in a tough economy.
