Hey everyone, I have some hard news to update. I had to quit my job. I quit last night, so I didnt work today. Last night I came home bawling my face off because the pain was so intense. Basically, the neck brace immensely helps my head and neck pain by stopping me from automatically turning my head all the time, but with every failed attempt at turning my head, the neck brace digs in. Plus, the place is carpeted, which is really hard to wheel myself on, which further contributes to the pain. It literally felt like someone was pouring acid down the back of my shoulders. I just couldnt even begin to imagine repeating that kind of pain for 6 hours a day for the next 6 days. When I tried to imagine it, I cried even harder. I hung out with my friend Lisa today which was really nice, because if I didnt, I would have been locked away in my room in an unhealthy mindset. It was nice too see her again in general though cause it had been a couple weeks! We had one of our dollar store dates, and then went back to her house to hang out and make keychains. I also got to meet her new friend and roommate/renter, who is a really sweet girl around my age who came down from more northern canada to go to college. Same collage as me! Different campus though. It was really nice to chat, and we all got along so well. So yeah, feeling pretty down right now, but Im glad I had a good day. I just need to try to focus on happier things, though thats easier said than done. I LOVE my job. I love the people, environment (mostly, lol its noisy), the actual job in general... I just cant believe I went from doing this job STANDING (albeit in great pain) last year to not even being able to do it from a wheelchair now. Its just... inconceivable. Sigh. Im going to get in my PJs and relax til bed. Goodnight xx
