Hey everyone! Researchers at the University of Western Ontario are inviting you to participate in a research study investigating the human brain and how it relates to basic cognitive processes, psychological attitudes, genetic factors, and academic performance. Who? -First year undergraduate students (ages 18-20) What? -Come for session 1 and… oComplete several questionnaires and cognitive tasks oConsent to provide researchers with access to your UWO academic records §Note, that all of this information will be kept strictly confidential, will be used only for research purposes and will have no bearing on your academic standing -This will last approximately 2 hours and you will be compensated for your time. Participating in session 1 gives you the opportunity to participate in two more sessions. o1 session uses functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) to take images of your brain while you are performing cognitive tasks oThe other session involves further cognitive tasks -These sessions provide additional compensation and a picture of your brain! -Eligibility for sessions 2 and 3 will be discussed at the beginning of session 1 Where? • Here on the UWO campus!
