Hey everyone, Some people from my lab are trying to organize talks from professors in the biology department, about how they got to where they are now. The talks would be for undergraduate and graduate students, and would be really useful for anyone considering a career in academia or industry. Nothing is set in stone yet, but we’re thinking the first talk would be around February time by Roy Golsteyn, discussing his experience in industry and academia, both in Canada and abroad. We think this would be an amazing opportunity for everyone, but we can only do it if enough people get involved. So if you think this is something you are even slightly interested in, let me know or just hit like (I’ll assume that means you’re interested), and we’ll see if we can make this happen.
