Hey everyone This is my younger brother Andrew. He is 16 and just finished his last of 130 chemotherapy treatments, but his fight for life is far from over. He was only 13 when diagnosed with a life threatening, slow growing, brain stem Tumor. On May 5th 2011, he underwent a surgery to attempt to remove the Tumor, but only 10% was successfully removed due to the sensitive area it has grown on. After his surgery, it was decided he would start 70 consecutive weekly chemotherapy treatments in Sudbury ON. Once his treatments were finished, an MRI showed that the Tumor had grown bigger in size than before the surgery. This was the start of another 60, more aggressive chemotherapy treatments. On April 28th 2013 Andrews wish from the make a wish foundation came true. Him and his family were flown to Hollywood to see Lindsey Sterling perform. What an unforgettable experience for him to have during such a hard long battle. Andrew finished the last of his 130 chemotherapy treatments on May 9th 2014, for now. Andrew will need medical attention for the rest of his life. He was nominated by KLDCS for this years HERO run, on June 6th 2014. I hope you will all make it out to meet him and show your support. He is truly an inspiration! Our family has also teamed up with a scentsy consultant to make a warmer where the proceeds will go also go towards his medical fund.
