Hey everyone, some announcements from our discussion yesterday (please read to the end of this entirely too long fb post): Prayer requests: 1. Continue praying for Matts uncle, who is undergoing chemo. His immune system is particularly weak at this point. 2. Pray that everyone is protected from bugs, viruses, and the flu - to which Taylor has succumbed (so pray that he gets better) - during this flu season. 3. Keep LeighAnn in your prayers as she is still travelling the world sharing the gospel. 4. Pray for the church as we start the new We Are series, that we as a church body and we as a small group would grow in our understanding of who we are as the body of Christ and who Christ is for us, Sachse, and the world. I cant think of a more exciting and worthwhile thing to think and talk about among ourselves than that! 5. If I have forgotten any prayer requests from yesterday or if you have anything else you want us to be praying for, post away. Upcoming events: 1. Youre invited - As always, you have an open invite to go to lunch with Bryn and I and some of the other folk from church each Sunday. We gather around the sound booth after the worship gathering, figure out (argue about) where to go, and head out from there. Jordan has been going with us for months now, and he says its the highlight of his week. Well, not really, but I think in his heart he feels that way. 2. Group lunch - We will be having a small group lunch probably in February one Sunday after church. Im thinking Cicis pizza but if you have other ideas let me know. 3. Summer reading group - This is a little early of an announcement but, if youre interested, lets get a group together for a summer reading group. Im thinking maybe Life Together by Bonhoeffer, but again, if you have any other ideas let me know.
