Hey friends. Just saw the movie Mama last night. A horror movie executive produced by Guillermo del Toro, the guy who brought you Pans Lynbrieth. I thought it was quite an original story told in an original way. Its about some children who become disturbed after a traumatic experiences brought on by their father and his later ill-fated car accident near a cliff. Its this particular cliff that launches the story. These children are then put in a mental institution to figure out how to treat them and eventually determined to live with their uncle and girlfriend. These child actors really pull out the stops in this movie. I didnt even know or recognize until after the movie that it was Jessica Chastain playing the girlfriend of the Uncle. Amazing what hair dye can do! But these children concerning acting did hold their own or the director really brought it out of them. There is some CGI to get over, but dont be sidetracked by it, enjoy the characters and the story. I enjoyed this movie more than the usual horror movie and greatly recommend you watch on a night that you know you wont be bothered. I believe it is a horror movie for people who dont usually watch horror movies. It also has an unique ending. Have fun and hope you watch it.
