Hey friends. The results from my doctors appointment were as expected. I am now officially diabetic. My sugar levels were down from 443 on Saturday to 254 today. Still not good, but better and heading the right direction. I went to the pharmacy to get the meter, insulin and all of the other lovely pieces parts. They hadnt sent my insurance through and when they did, they declined the purchase, so we sat for about 45 minutes while the poor pharm. tech kept trying to find the right items that would be covered. After all that time, they were out of the lancets for the meter and had to order them. I grabb some lovely Atkins food products while there. That should be interesting. Got home and realized I have the insulin pen but no needles. ~sigh~ I called the pharmacy and my doctor hadnt written a script for them. Guess Ill be starting everything tomorrow. Please pray that I can adjust quickly and easily to the new addition on my already full plate. Thanks.
