Hey friends, been away from the B St. for a while. Done with all - TopicsExpress

Hey friends, been away from the B St. for a while. Done with all my cardio tests and see the Dr on the 14th of April. Haven’t heard from the Dr’s office about the tests, so I read that as, I’ll be okay. On my 4th blood pressure med which I started yesterday and I feel better, not passing out. Hopefully, this will be the one. Have a couple surgeries for skin cancer coming up and another surgery on my broken hand from last Oct. My COPD hasn’t stopped my singing, yet, and I am working on quitting smoking. Hey, they can’t kill me; at least for now. I’ve been to so many DRs in the last 5 months; I can’t remember anymore what to worry about. I’m not special. All of us that have reached this age have med issues, some more, some less. I just wanted to give you an update and let you know I’ll be back soon with all my friends. I miss all of you!!! I miss the great people that work at Bourbon St and want to thank Nick and Joe for wishing me well. All my friends wished me well and it meant a lot. Thanks to Steve O, my buddy, who always learns the songs I want to play and doesn’t complain, well maybe a little, Steve Metzger who has backed me up on songs and doesn’t mind doing backup vocals for me, Jim Arnold, my friend, who is always asking about me, Sandy Stinson, who helped me when I was down and got me back to singing, Jay Summers, great guitar player who has backed me up, Robert Lesher who backed me on harp in Sept 2012 on my first singing in public since 1984, and all the other musicians and friends that have supported me. I want to work on some new tunes with my friends, Steve O, Steve Metzger and Jim Arnold. I hope you guys will do that for me. You’re the best! I have a new song I wrote last month; a country tune called “We Pulled into Barstow” and another I am working on called “Cheating Woman Blues”. I hope you guys will work on those with me for our next Fullerton Musicians of the 60’s/ Growing up in Fullerton Event. Also I want to work on the great country song, which Steve Metzger I’m sure knows.” She’s no Angel” I am planning the next Fullerton Musicians of the 60’s/ GUIF event with Bourbon St as I write and I will let all of you know, as soon as I get a confirmed date. To all my friends who have wished me well and to those who I don’t really know, who did the same over these past 5 months, Thank you! Charlie Hale is back and I will be back at B St. soon! Stay tuned for my announcement on our next event. “Amor Fati.” Charlie
