Hey guitar nerds. Heres my main bass -- a reissue Ampeg Dan Armstrong. The pickup is a humbucker custom-built by Dans son Kent, bought through his grandson Aaron. Nice to see the guitar nerd gene passed down the generations. Besides the acrylic body, theres something cool about the plexi guitars. The pickup-swapping mechanism is a stroke of genius, while the fixed bridge, fake wood pickguard, and thumb-rest make it seem like a throwback. Its like somebody from the sixties trying to imagine how they were going to build guitars in the nineties.
