Hey guys, As you all know, Im a former Marine infantryman and combat veteran. I served 2 tours in Iraq and was critically wounded when a roadside bomb detonated next to my humvee. The ensuing blast wiped out out my entire team, leaving me as the only survivor. With 70 percent of my body covered in 3rd degree burns, survival was a trial in and of itself. Its been a long hard road to recovery, and though Im not all the way there yet, Im a lot closer than I was thanks to the support from my friends and family, and especially the help I received from a special charitable organization- the Semper Fi Fund. I cannot overstate how much this great organization helped me and my family by providing financial assistance and offering a caring and understanding support system. They continue to help countless other wounded Marines and their families. Now, its time for me to give back to them. Ive created several paintings for their fund raising events throughout the years. Its always made me feel good to know that my hard work benefited the Semper Fi Fund and allowed them to help others in need. But once a painting is sold, its gone. I want to do more. So I decided to team up with my brother and his partner, the owners of a military apparel company, Forty Mike. I can put my ideas and designs on a T shirt, which we can sell again and again, therefore creating an infinite stream of donation income to this awesome charity. Id like to donate the proceeds of the sales of my T Shirt designs to the Semper Fi fund. Our goal at Forty Mike is to offer military art and history to people from all walks of life through a common medium, the humble T-shirt. Our designs are uniquely crafted from traditional inspiration by me and my colleagues, and are fashioned with the idea that you dont have to be in the military to appreciate them. Military history is American history. What we hope to exhibit through our selected works is a chronology of red-blooded American art. Pure Americana.
