Hey guys, Ive been contacted by a theatre producer for a new show. Sounds pretty exciting! There is an audition in Cambridge next Friday 6th Feb, if your available email Luke on the email below! BEATBOXER WANTED FOR UNIQUE PERFORMANCE PROJECT Rowan James is a hip hop/punk-inspired performance poet. Known for delivering quick-fire rap style poetry, often rooted in social commentary with flashes of humor and a unique, engaging performance style. We have begun working on a spoken word show titled “Until I Speak”. An exploration of society’s perceptions of people’s disabilities, the show will focus on how disability labels are used within society. It also aims to question how we as a society can acknowledge the inspirational qualities of people with learning difficulties and disabilities. Rowan and the team are keen to work with a beatboxer to create the show. Someone who will go on to perform the show with Rowan at the Cambridge Junction and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Ideally we want to work with someone who is passionate about equality and using their creative skills. (beat boxing, rap, poetry) to explore a subject. It needs to be someone who can work with Rowans own sense of rhythm and if they have any performance background in theatre then that would be an added bonus If you know anyone who might be good or someone who might be interested then please email the show’s producer, Luke, on [email protected].
