Hey guys! This is a bit strange to write about myself to people - TopicsExpress

Hey guys! This is a bit strange to write about myself to people Ive never met, but I wanted to get as much advice as possible from different people. First, I can say how much Im honored/thrilled to be a part of UCB class of 2018, but then again, who isnt? I am a bit torn at the moment right now - Ive narrowed down my choices to 2 schools at the moment: UC Berkeley and Northeastern. Now, I know most people will choose UC Berkeley without hesitation, but this is why Im hesitant to commit to UCB: - Ive been accepted to NEU Honors program as well as their PharmD program. For those of you who are not familiar with the program, NEU has a 6 year long program where at the end you get your undergraduate degree as well as a PharmD degree. That being said, I dont have the pressure of having to figure out my path once I become a freshman in college. The fact that co-op is part of the curriculum isnt bad either. - Ive been offered $40,000 scholarship per year if I choose to attend NEU - NEU is literally in the heart of downtown Boston aka you can easily meet up with most college kids (BU, BC, Tufts, MIT, etc) if you choose to. But... - California... Do I need to say more? (Especially as a NoVA person whos never been to CA) - Theres no doubt in my mind that UCBerkeley is the best public school in the United States - UCBerkeleys academic prestige is very spread out, unlike NEU. NEUs pharmacy & business major are very well known. However, if I choose to drop out of the PharmD program, I probably wont get the same education I would get at UCB - Though I am not completely sure what Ill be majoring in, itll definitely be something related to neuropsychology and/or bioengineering! I hope Im not coming across as snobby or pretentious. I understand that this is a UCB facebook group, but I was hoping that I could get some advice/insight from current students/alumni of UCB about this matter. Even if youre an incoming freshman, please dont hesitate to comment! Thank you so much guys, I really really appreciate it. p.s. This facebook group is definitely one of the liveliest college fb groups Ive encountered so far - props to you all (;
