Hey guys! We thought wed post a solid list of required and suggested items for the game. Feel free to add your own suggestions and Ill edit this post as needed (so also keep checking it). ~REQUIRED ITEMS~ *Dead rag - A red rag youll clutch to a wounded area to show youre down. We suggest keeping it in a quickly accessible pouch or pocket so you can get it out in less than two seconds as you fall. *Drop box - A plastic bin to store the items youre not wearing, meaning all guns and gear that isnt an article of clothing. Youre not frozen with it, so it drops separately. Youll give this to us at the beginning of the game. *Android phone or tablet with the app installed (scanner) - The app does not run on iOS or Windows devices. *Charger(s) - Phone/Tablet batteries suck, be sure you can recharge your device onsite. We will have some power outlets available, but it will mean youll be without your scanner for awhile. *Costume - Costume appropriate to your character. Synthetics are marked by a glowing neck band that glows at night. If youre NPCing for us bring theater blacks, a black long-sleeve shirt and pants, shoes, socks, and hopefully gloves. *Tent or sleeping arrangements - There are no cabins. We want CHARACTERS to die from exposure, not our players. ;) Bring a sleeping bag appropriate for the temperature (stay aware of the weather forecast and prepare for the worst) *Backup food/water - We want CHARACTERS to starve, not our players! But please keep it hidden in your tent and know its OOC. *Trash bags - Packed it in? Pack it out. You are required to keep your area clean and keep the site trash-free. Pick up other peoples trash. Lets leave it cleaner than we found it. Make sure you get the bags into the onsite trash cans. ~SUGGESTED ITEMS~ *Water-proof phone/tablet case - Its gon rain. Dont let your device be destroyed. At LEAST keep it dry within your clothes and use it under a cover like a poncho or, hopefully, in a tent or under a pavilion. *Camping Mat - A thin foam mat. Were in Texas. The ground is rocky. We dont always have the optimal choice for staking down a tent. Sleeping bags are not thick enough to stop rocks from being really problematic. *Cot - Even better than a camping mat. *External Battery - These things are amazing for keeping your scanner alive and on your person. I picked up an Anker 10k mAh battery for $25 off Amazon Prime. It recharged my phone from ~30% to full twice and only lost 1 out of 4 pips. *Baby Wipes - For a quick destink. *Towels in waterproof bag - Staying wet can be bad for you. Same goes for your gear. *Cooking Equipment - Unprepared food? Be ready. *Dry wood - Remember, its gon rain. This event its going to get down to the low 50s. Fires also make great ambiance and gathering points. Got recommendations that I forgot? Post em!
