Hey guys. With Daniellas blessing, here is an update on her daughter, Carissa Galvez who recently underwent her 30th surgery in regards to IH. Right now the shunt in working and one of the problems was the nerves in her legs but they are better too. The improvement is slow and steady but as with anyone its just really hard to deal with the pain and the recovery of such a long surgery. She is feeling a weak and of course they are trying to wean her off the pain meds, so its not making it easy at all. But we know Carissa can do it. She is a fighter and has that attitude that nothing is gonna stop her. The good news is that once she is on all oral meds, Daniella will be able to take her daughter home. There will be walkers and some equipment at home that must be gotten, but as Daniella has told me, at least she will be home. AMEN! Home nursing will also be in the plans as well. So, it looks like she is definitely making progress but just has that pesky road to recover from the long surgery. And Daniella wanted me to thank everyone for their love and support and most of all their prayers during this whole ordeal. As a couple weeks ago, they thought they were done with these surgeries, and then they had two within a week, including the latest one which did not go as planned.
