Hey guys, has anyone else had the following present on their horses: small, about half size of red tick that when it bites, leaves a swelling like a hive for a few days. Then it leaves a scab which falls off along with the hair? My horse came in with a few of these marks that I suspected were ticks because you could feel the small scab on each bump, oddly enough quite prominent on his croup area. In severe spots where a few bites mustve occurred together, the hair has come off. Have washed with sebbarox, rinsed and washed with F10 shampoo, rinsed and applied acrisulph to all patches including the bigger spots ( just in case is fungal which I doubt). Has anyone else seen this this season? This presented before the rain when it was dry. Horse has not had contact with other horses besides for his paddock mate. The only significant change is where he is now standing with his paddock mate instead of his paddock directly adjacent to hers. The paddock mate is presenting no symptoms.
