Hey guys, heres the first submission from one of our followers, Becca, a poem called It Comes in Waves. An amazing work that expresses a longing, for understanding and for hardships to end, that Im sure we all have felt. Thanks Becca! ~ CharlieJ It comes in waves you know, All these feelings inside. Waves of pain and anger, Waves of sorrow and fear. Even waves of happiness,if only sometimes. Some last longer than others, But usually happiness is very rare. It gets so bad that you think I just dont care. But deep inside you want it all to end. You want someone who understands, You need someone who wont judge, You need a true friend. It comes in waves you know. These feelings you hide. You can never escape them, No matter how hard you try. You lie in bed and stare up at the ceiling Wishing that your tears would dry. Youre not alone in all that youre feeling. Then it comes again,wave after wave, Pulling you under,drowning everything youve ever known in its tide,and your soul burns. It comes in waves,never ending, destroying everything youve ever done,now is not the time for mending,mending your broken heart. Now is the time for fighting,finding your way out of the dark. What youve not yet realized is that the good comes in waves as well,always between the bad. And that you can make it through it all.
