Hey guys i am new to the vw world and have currently bought an offroad buggy with vw engine in it and Im in need of some advice on my engine. Have done some research and I assume its a type 1 engine as f0 675597 is stamped on the block. I had oil leaking from between the valve head and cylinder block so I pulled the head off and found oil in the bores.would this be broken piston rings? And would it be an easy fix?. Another question should I just get the engine reconditioned or just rebuild it myself? Any advice would be much appreciated thanks :-)
