Hey guys, its time for me to share my VI. Very Happy VI appointment was at 10:30 AM, security check was over by 11:30 AM, VI was at 11:35 AM. VO at Counter 13 is a cool beard guy who seems to not waste much time asking and listening to the scripted answers of many applicantsSmile He has a simple set of 3 questions for every applicant in this order - 1. Backlogs, 2. GRE, 3. Subjects we will be taking in MS. For some he would include another question- What do they teach you in this particular subject. The weird part is, he just doesnt seem to alter the questions at all which is kinda unusual. So here is how it goes! Me: Very good morning sir! VO: Very good morning (in his own cool style), pass me your I-20 and passport. Then for some 30-40 seconds he kept reading something on his computer. How many backlogs? Me: 1 sir. VO: GRE? Me: 315 VO: Hmm..smart guy! So what are the subjects you are gonna take in MS? Me: VLSI Design Methods, CAD for VLSI, Digital Machine Design. VO: What will they teach you in CAD for VLSI Design? Me: Said full form of CAD and then added that they would teach us how to automate design of VLSI circuits. VO: Place your left hand fore fingers, your VISA is approved, buy some good sweaters. Me: Thanks a lot sir! He rejected one guy in our line as he couldnt tell the subjects in MS. Apart from that, Counter 13 was the quickest of all followed by 16 smile.
