Hey guys just throwing this up here in case anyone wants to use the idea. I bought the full set of Badger Minitaire paints from Amazon (more like, AmazING amirite?) but didnt really have anywhere to put them. Most paint rack companies have the pyramid/step style of racks and lack of space made this an Option B for me. So I decided to build my own vertical wall hanging rack. The set comes with 84 dropper bottles so my setup should hold 21 across by 4 down. I say should because even though I did the whole measure twice, cut once thing...I still dount my abilities because I basically only did woodwork in year 8 because they made me... Anyway if anyone wants to attempt this it cost about $40 from Bunnings to get a sheet of 1800x295x16mm Melamine, 5mm Masonite board 600x900, a pack of 6mm dowel pieces, and four 1m x 6.3mm aluminium rods. Dimensions are: Masonite backboard: 460mm X 672mm 5 shelves at 640mm x 45mm 2 sides at 460mm X 45mm 4 aluminium rods at 650mm. Drill center holes in the ends of the shelves then from the bottom of both side pieces measure up 16mm then 95mm so you have 5 16mm spaces woth 4 95mm evenly between. Above each 16mm bit go up 10mm and in about 5mm for your 4 rod holes. Then its basically insert tab A into slot B kinda stuff and hammer the backboard on with little nails. *Note - If you go with black as I did, note Bunnings do not carry 16mm black edging for melamine so you may have to sort some from a cabinet maker bloke. *This image is still WIP because I havent found black edging or painted the backboard black yet either but I hope this is helpful to anyone who uses it.
