Hey hey guys!!! We are getting our power, wisdom, and of course courage together as we present you with tonights newest Top Ten, and I wont lie we will need all kinds of courage to present such a controversial list for gaming. Tonights Ten are RainbowStaches Top Ten Best Zelda Games, this list is all about content, story, and of course gameplay so sit back and HEY!!! LISTEN!!! #10. Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainment System: Whoa... whoa... I just dropped the original green tunic wearing masterpiece at the number 10 spot? While it is the original, this list isnt about to give special prizes just because of status but that doesnt mean we dont love LoZ and by far it making this list means it beat another handful of Zelda games that could have easily taken the ranks. LoZ was original, colorful, and difficult making it a prize for anyone looking for a great place to start the LoZ series. #9. Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons for the Gameboy Color: Yes thats right, two titles in one spot and for good reason. These two partner game for the GBC are renowned for complementing each other as well as some of the finest portable hand held game play available and surprisingly it was developed by a third party too (Capcom). Full of the best colors the GBC could boast as well as a huge amount of content like Zeldas traditional dungeons and enemies, both Oracle games told an interesting and aspiring story and all while giving you that same wonderful Zelda welcome. #8. Legend of Zelda: The Adventure of Link for the Nintendo Entertainment System: The black sheep of the Zelda family, The Adventure of Link is well known for its side scrolling Mario design as well as its Final Fantasy like RPG elements such as leveling up and exp system plus the open world of the Dragon Quest games making it a whole entire different ball park. Difficult and unforgiving, tAoL never received its do credit during its original release but is known to this by Zelda fans everywhere as one of the most difficult games in the series and for good reason too. #7. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii: The first fully 3D rendered Zelda on this list, Skyward Sword brought a lot of things to the table that were new to Zelda and even more things that we hadnt seen in a long time. SS was renowned upon release for being the first Zelda game to bring back the difficulty of the original titles such as Link to the Past and all while feeling like Twilight Princess and really that is really what it was. Skyward Sword was a colorful and musical blend of gameplay and design that also utilized the Wii Motion Plus controls to the best that the console had to offer. The characters were defined and the story elements were strong making for a fantastic Zelda game for anyone up to one intense challenge along the way. #6. Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance: Yet another great example of handheld games doing it right, Minish Cap felt like a console Zelda game but played like something you would expect on a Nintendo handheld device. Minish Cap took the concepts from Giants and little people in stories of old and sprinkled in the Zelda elements and staples we all know and love to prove that Zelda brings the most to the table when it wants too. Color and design were key in Minish Cap making it one of the best looking GBA games out there. #5. Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask for the Nintendo 64: Another attack on titans, placing Majoras Mask at anything other than at least 2nd probably burns a few peoples butts if you catch my drift but that doesnt mean we hate MM... No far from it Im afraid. MM is an amazing showing that any series, even a well stabilized one like Zelda, can change and adapt to new concepts and ideas that make it all the more powerful. MM is well known for its changes in the Zelda formula and its dark imagery which Zelda was not known for before it had came to be, but its more than just these things that made MM so great. Amazing story arcs and a fantastic mask switching gameplay mechanic made MM a whole new experience for all (not just Zelda fans) players to enjoy. #4. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Gamecube: To be terribly honest, TP would have actually been number 1 had it not been for a few mistakes holding it back but none the less the spot it earned is still a shining star for this dark, epic tale. Twilight Princess much like Majoras Mask before it took a much more dark turn but all the while giving a much prettier and more interesting cast of characters to enjoy while Link challenges the great unknown. The design was beautiful with in my opinion the best graphics to be seen yet in a LoZ game. #3. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Probably the most fantastic art style to be used in a LoZ game (tied with Wind Waker), but LttP did things that for its time Wind Waker could not, easily bringing the finest looking designs and gameplay the SNES could support and all while being harder than a rock. Classic and whimsical, Lttp did things that other games could only imitate on the SNES and by far won the hearts of many Zelda fans all over the world. #2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64: By far the heart throb of the LoZ fan base, Ocarina of Time is considered the god child of all things good in Legend of Zelda and is the first ever fully 3D rendered Zelda game. Telling a story as old as time, OoT gave us hope that LoZ would be something more than just another save the princess from evil kind of game and in all truth it delivered. Full of some of the best mini games, puzzles, dungeons, and foes, OoT did its part to shape the future Zelda games and make them what they are today, sadly shaping the series isnt enough and the winner did things just slightly better than the other 9 listed above. Honorable Mentions: Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, Links Awakening, Phantom Hourglass, A Link Between Worlds and Spirit Tracks. #1. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for the Nintendo Gamecube: As if you didnt see this coming, WW has been renowned and always be for its far strides to make Legend of Zelda the best series out there in the gaming market. Huge, vast seas, islands across the boarders, giant pirate ships, huge bosses, and deep dungeons are only but a few of the many details Wind Waker added to the much desired things within the Legend of Zelda series. Some of my most treasured adventures in the Zelda Universe took place in this world and while several people thought it okay to complain about the open seas sailing, I merely laughed and looked to the horizon. Did you like our list? Maybe you saw something missing or would have changed the order a big? Like and Comment your opinions below. Admin: ~Sanityswept~
