Hey ho hey ho, its back to work I go... starting with some exciting news though! From September I will be taking over running of the dressmaking classes at the lovely Me & Mrs. Fisher. York. Classes Ill be teaching in the coming term are as follows (booking details on the website): Get to know your sewing machine: Sat 20th Sept 10.30am – 1pm A class for absolute beginners, where you can learn to set-up and use your machine. You’ll learn some basic sewing skills and end up with a length of bunting to take home and show off. Basic Cushions: Sat 25th Oct 10.30am – 1pm Learnt to use your machine but want to learn more skills? In this session you’ll learn zip insertion, buttonholes, applique and how to make a cushion. Make an A-line skirt: Sat 22nd Nov 10am – 1pm Learn to make a knee-length A-line skirt that fits you perfectly. This is a class for those who can sew but want to learn to follow a pattern, insert a zip, hem and finish a garment. Sewing Surgery: Sat 6th Dec 10.30am – 12.30pm Stuck on a project? Found something you’d love to attempt but not sure where to start? This is a session dedicated to giving you help, advice and support to enable you to progress and finish your projects. *Bookings can be taken via FB, over the phone or in person but must be paid for in full within one week of booking date.
