Hey my fellow ExJW groupies, you would be so proud of me. I did a bold, brave, advocacy thing today. It happened quite by accident, or maybe not if you believe in divine intervention. Upon learning that I was in the presence of one of the local farmers market reps, I experienced an immediate case of the braves. I told her of my concerns in allowing the JWs to have both space at our local farmers market. I told her that I used to be one of Jehovahs Witnesses and that their presence at the farmers market was of great concern to me. I told her that the JW faIth was not a safe climate for children and that I didnt like the fact that JWs might have opportunities to interact with children at the farmers market. Even though her reasons for concern differed from mine she also expressed that she was none too pleased about the JW booth too. She hopes that the JW booth will be denied in next years season. I hope so too.
