Hey now! Here is the official workshop schedule!!! Friday & Saturday: 2:30 pm - Kids Art Camp Kids will be able to participate in creating art and other activities during this time (Meet at Main Pavilion) Saturday: 11:00 AM Rise & Shine Yoga with Jess Mahashakti Awaken the body and expand the heart during this relaxing and restorative yoga practice. As we tune in to our body, the mind stills allowing our natural radiance to shine! We will begin with sun salutations, a flow of postures which synchronize breath and movement. This warm up also helps us gain deeper awareness of our bodies and connect to the earth’s rhythms. In the last half of class, we will focus on relaxation as we slow down and play with different asanas (postures).A final meditation will aide in sending this love to our festival family and beyond. Through yoga, we can tap in to the loving energy that connects us and reach for our highest potential (and maybe even our toes too!) (Meet at Main Stage) Saturday: 12:00 pm - Hooping – Spinning Class with MO Flo Hoop Troupe Learn tips and techniques from the official Highberry Hoop girls. (Meet at Main Stage) Friday & Saturday: 1:30 - Intro to Energy Healing & Crystal Therapy ~ Adriana Camella This is an intensive, emergence workshop where attendees will get more acquainted with themselves, the Earth and a little mysticism. They will learn: *Different methods of meditation and ways to become one with their intuitive self, including using zen flow to achieve a meditative state through the practice of flow arts such as poi or hula hooping. *How to use intuition to recognize imbalances and blocks in chakras/energy. *The 13 chakras I have perceived through energy work. *And of course, STONES!!! and how to use them to assist in healing and self - healing practices and to bring a higher vibration and less negative energy to (Meet at Main Pavilion) Friday & Saturday: 2:00 PM Rock balancing workshop with Jaz This shop will include the basics of rock balancing and rock arches... there will be a noticeable circle of rocks behind the pavilion and side stack in front of the river. The idea is to give people the first few and biggest mental/technical tools for balancing rocks and then let their imaginations fly... by us building these rock towers, towers of love, love portals will open and raise the vibration of the entire festival for an over all more powerful experience created together. (Meet behind Main Stage) Friday & Saturday: 1:30 – Introduction to Tie Dye – Make your own tie dye! With Jarod Hunt This workshop will cover the following techniques: 1) Prewashing, presoaking and spinning out of the shirts. 2) He will then demonstrate a spiral, a scrunch, and random symmetrical patterns. 3) The workshop will also cover dye mixtures and how to make them as well as the color wheel as it pertains to dye application All participants will get to make their own tie dye! We are providing the shirts and dye! (meet at Pavilion) Thursday & Saturday: Thursday 6 PM / Saturday 11 AM – Percussion Workshop w/ Michael Come learn the basics of percussions and drumming with Fayetteville music veteran Michael Beazley. Bring your hand drum!!!!! (meet in front of side stage)
