Hey team just a quick note, some people have asked me about my experiences at Nike Training Club (NTC) so I thought I’d share last night’s experience. Nina is the personal trainer who normally leads the group, she is friendly, high energy, and very passionate about her work. Most of the time the 45 minute workout is broken down into 3 sets of 3-4 exercises, however last night was a little different because they wanted to track progress over time so here is what we did: Dynamic warm up exercises followed by: 10 Pushups 10 Jump Squats 10 Jump Lunges 10 (4 Count) Bicycle Sit-ups 10 Burpees 100M run Repeat for 15 minutes Brief pause for celebration & record number of circuits completed Partner assisted exercises held for 30 seconds: High Plank +Thumb War (each side) Partner A in High Plank with wide leg stance - Partner B jumps over / through Partner As legs (switch) Partner assisted Squat (squat and hold) with alternate arm pull (each side) 4 person Squat (form a square, squat and hold) with trunk rotation and high 5s (I have no rhythm for this) Burpees 1 person does the exercise the other provides encouragement (switch) Cool down Celebrate with standout participant of the day (Male & Female) It’s a great workout that is challenging for all fitness levels. Also all exercises are scalable in that you can alter them to accommodate what you personally able to do. There is no need to feel anxiety about attending, people of all types and fitness levels attend. Last night the people in attendance ranged from their 20s to their 60s and from 100lbs to 250lbs+ with a good amount of regulars and new comers. No one is there to judge you or make you feel uncomfortable, only to push you to perform at your personal best, just like Team RWB.
