Hey thanks everyone for all your interest and support re our little building project !! I realise from many of your messages and comments that not everyone understands exactly what we have planned and because so many of you have asked Im going to try and add regular updates here on facebook as its quicker than responding one by one - thats a cop out I know - but I really am juggling a few more balls than normal. Exciting day. The house removal guy called and said he wants to start to move the Williamstown house as of Monday. Eeeekkkkk friggin eeeekkkk. Only problem we have is that the vendor has to wait for the bank to do valuations on the townhouses the developer is building on the block where the house is currently located, and we cant move the house until then. That should only be a week or two. Until then we get to dig up the hundred year old garden with 60+ standard roses. Thats on Monday and then Wednesday we turn the first sod on the block in Clunes. I want a nice eggsheel blue hat and a silver shovel. Paid the council bond which is required to relocate a house today - and thats they last thing Hepburn Council needs before they can issue a building permit - finished all the plumbing of the caravan today and had my first shower in it. Jack is up in Hawaii visiting his folks and gets back on Sunday. First time I havent gone along - but luckily I didnt because things are finally starting to move. Gas could go off any day. Electricity will be switched off on the 11th and then our dear little house will be bulldozed not long after that. All the plans are finalised and we still hope to have the slab down in Windsor before Christmas - only slight problem is that we still dont know how much it is all going to cost to build Windsor - or if we will have enough money to do it. Oh by the way if you know of anyone who wants a house just as nice, or better even than the one we found in Williamstown there is one that has just become available in Murrumbeana - I was chasing it as a back up plan.
