Hey there, A lot of parents want to know how to get their kid to do something, go somewhere, practice something, etc., etc., etc. It can be hard motivating them. Especially when all they wanna do is run around and play video games ;-) Well, Im here to present you with a... magic question! This question could seriously revolutionize the way you approach your kid with a chore, place to go, etc. That question is... Whats in it for me? We are hard-wired as humans to ask ourselves this question any time were presented with something to do. So... in very clear words... explain to your kid the benefit they get from doing an activity... For example, if its the dishes were talking about... the convo could go like this: (For this example, say your kid is petrified of bugs, like cockroaches...) Honey, please do the dishes. When you help keep the house clean, we keep bugs out like cockroaches, and they wont be crawling around everywhere! You dont want cockroaches in your room, do you? Now, you know your child, so you can come up with better words to tell them than I ever could. But thats just an example to get you started! Best of luck, Master Dusty Miner
