Hey there local fb friends. Thought Id put this on fb in case email didnt reach some of you. We, the families of the fallen, have an opportunity to work at the WI State Fair this year with the New Berlin Lions club (new-berlin-lions.org) at their corn roast to help raise money for BTRO (beingtherereachingout.org), the Lions and as a way to give back to our community. The Lions give to many local organizations through their corn roast fund raising (ie, Fisher House, diabetes, hearing loss, autism, heart, cancer, girl scouts, boy scouts and the list goes on). If any of you would like to help work at the corn roast this year, let me know. The Lions have a meeting place and will transport us by bus to the fair. Entrance is paid by them. You would need to commit to 9 - 5 or 5 - 11. They have more need in the evenings and the weekend. So get together with friends and come volunteer for a day or more. Let me know what you think your availability might be. the schedule is already filling up for July 31 to Aug 10.
